Steelers Survive Seahawk Rally
SEATTLE (AP) - Franco Harris, Cliff Stoudt and Frank Pollard scored touchdowns on first-half runs Sunday and the Pittsburgh Steelers survived a dramatic second-half Seattle Seahawks' comeback for a 27-21 National Football League victory.  Dave Krieg, Jim Zorn's backup quarterback, gave the Steelers, 6-2, a scare in the second half after Pittsburgh left the field with a seemingly safe 24-0 halftime lead.  Harris, the NFL's No. 2 all-time leading rusher behind Jimmy Brown, carried 31 times for 132 yards, including a nine-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter.  Stoudt, filling in for the injured Terry Bradshaw at quarterback, and Pollard each tallied on one yard runs in the second quarter.  Krieg, playing for the first time during the regular season, rallied the Seahawks, 4-4, to three second half TDs, two on passes to former Tulsa University receivers Steve Largent and Paul Johns.  Johns dazzled the Steelers with six catches for 118 yards.  The Seahawks actually had a chance to win the game when they got the ball with 1:49 to go.  But the Steeler's defense stopped them on downs on the Pittsburgh 42 with 1:13 remaining.  Zorn was booed heavily by the Kingdome crowd in the first half and completed just one of eight passes for just two yards.  The crowd chanted, "We want Krieg" in the second quarter.
